“Stay here if you're desperate”

The rooms were in need of repair, the outside was not cleaned up. There was a guest at the end of the hallway openly smoking weed with his door open. I wasn't even given a receipt for my bill. While checking in the employees would talk to each other in another language making me feel as though they were mocking me. There was no continental breakfast, only coffee in the main lobby. The topper was the fire alarm going off at 6:30 am on Sunday morning. There was no assistance in getting the guests out of the hotel, 911 was not even contacted. I know this because I called 911 to notify them. I believe the value price is reflective of the poor condition and bad service. The employees laughed when I checked out, saying something about special alarm clock. Another in the elevator just wanted to know what room we were vacating. This is not what I expect from Howard Johnson.
