“No-maintenance hotel”

The staff at this hotel is staying friendly and rising above and beyond difficult working conditions--although they could use some training in security. The whole facility screams lack of routine maintenance and security. The clerk announced our room number in front of other guests. The corridor doors were unlocked, one of which actually had no way to be locked! . With cooking smells in the hallway, shabby furnishings and cracked ceiling plaster, patches on the bathroom wall where the plaster was actually gone and a room door that only locked when it was slammed it was obvious that the place had fallen on hard times. We had booked because of the website information but the reality did not match. It is a shame because you can see what a good facility it had been. On the positive side, the room and bedding were clean, the shower delivered a good spray, and the staff helpful.
