“This HoJo had a bunch of environmental award plaques on the...”

This HoJo had a bunch of environmental award plaques on the wall, but when I asked the desk clerk where I could recycle a couple of aluminum soda cans, he was totally lost! I pressed him and he admitted that the hotel had no recycling at all -- even beverage cans which are the simplest, easiest, even most profitable to recycle. I find this very disturbing in this day and age and it verges on false advertising to display environmental awards when they aren't deserved. Also, the plaque which was supposed to have the manager's name displayed was empty, so I don't even know who was responsible for that sorry lack of environmental awareness. In addition, the knob to control outside vs inside air on the air conditioning unit was broken and non-functional (lying loose on the control panel). Also, the only luggage trolley on the premises was shaky with loose bolts and fittings. I called it to the desk clerk's attention but she acted as if it didn't concern her much.t would have been nice if the breakfast had included some yogurt and a bigger variety of fruit than just apples.
