“This hotel was fine. It was absolutely nothing fancy...”

This hotel was fine. It was absolutely nothing fancy. There were some unidentified white spots in the carpet (mold?). The door to the room had some huge dents as if it had been beaten on at some time or another. This hotel is right by the freeway which is convenient, but could be noisy towards the end of the hotel. Air conditioner worked but wasn't all that quiet. The staff was acceptable, when requesting to switch the room to two queens from a king we were quoted an additional $40/night, when we asked why so much, the staff simply said, "supply and demand" which I was a bit turned off by, obviously that is reason, but they could have been less abrasive about it. We requested a roll away and were told there were none, then later there was one in the room so I guess that was nice. There were very strange things done in the room, like the cable was run from another room...(torn up carpet where it ran under in front of the door, then where the cable jack in the wall was...they cut a hole in the plate, then ran the cable through the jack, pretty funny.)Non smoking room smelled vaguely of smoke. Breakfast was simple, but free, not a lot to go for but cereal, bagel, tea, juice, etc.On the pluses, the water pressure was outstanding. It did the job, but I wouldn't take someone special there.
