“Terrible customer service”

The computer had changed our reservation to "smoking" instead of "non smoking." I even showed the lady at the front desk that my confirmation email said "non smoking." The only way for them to give us a non smoking room was for us to pay an additional $40 since the non smoking room they had had two beds instead of our one. Both my boyfriend and I have worked in customer service jobs for years. When there is a problem that was caused on your hotel's part, the custom should not have to pay an additional fee in order to receive what they had asked for in the first place. We took the smoking room and it reaked of cigarettes. The carpets were so dirty that under our feet turned black just walking around our room. The "continental breakfast" consisted on a choice between cereal or a danish. We will definitely not be staying there ever again.
