“Filthy”

I stayed in room 233. This hotel was filthy and in poor repair. The coffee pot and refrigerator in the room description were nowhere to be found in the room, and I did not get a paper as promised. The carpet was horribly stained, and the trim in both the room and the bathroom was falling down. The doors and walls has holes in them. At least one outlet wasn't working. The toilet seat was extremely wobbly, and the tub was so slippery, I almost fell while getting in, even though I was holding on to the wall. The tub stopper was broken, so I couldn't take a bath, and the sink had a leak which got my feet wet and made a slippery puddle in the bathroom. There were strange stains and dirt near the toilet that I don't even want to consider. There was either a rat or a squirrel in the ceiling. There was a piece of dog food on the floor; I appreciate that the hotel is a pet-friendly one, but had the floor even been vacuumed? The outer door was coated with dirt, and there were large spiderwebs in the stairwell. Many of the doors to other rooms had hols, and one had an open hole where the locking mechanism was supposed to be; I saw people going in and out of this room, so I assume it was rented. When I went to start making this list, the pen looked chewed up and had no ink cartridge; luckily for me, I had another pen. I photographed many of these problems, and am happy to share them with you. I'm truly sorry to give you such a terrible review, but this place has clearly not been visited by anyone from corporate any time recently, and it really needs some attention. I didn't bother to complain to the hotel staff, as I didn't think it would be worth it; the problems were too many The only good things about the place were the location (close to my destination) and I slept just fine, probably due to the fact that I sleep like a log.
