“Disappointed”

The location of the hotel was convenient to tourist sites and was family friendly. I am giving a one rating because of poor customer service however. I had originally purchased the htoel and ticket to the aquarium package but canceled it when I dscovered buying the Mystic Pass was far cheaper-so their package deal is a scam. I purchased the pass and should have received a discount from the hotel of 10%. The problem is you have to check in then go to the park to get the pass. With the long drive and not having gone to a park yet I honestly forget to mention the discount at check in. Before I checked out I mentioned the discount but they told me it was too late. "It would look bad" if they made an adjustment. "It happens all the time but the owner will get mad", etc. Basically they blew off giving me the 10% and made ridiculous excuses why I couldn't get it even though I hadn't left yet. I even showed them the email that I purchased the passes ahead of time. I have never been to a place that doesn't go out of their way to accomodate a customer no matter if the customer forget something at check in-this hotel could care less about customer satisfaction. If they know they have the problem of people forgetting to mention the pass they should have their check in people ask if any discounts apply-other hotels do this and ask about AAA etc. It seemed like this hotel tried to give every excuse not to honor the discount. I will never stay there again. The free wifi barely worked-you had to sit in a chair by your door to try to get a signal, the rooms were not updated, and the pool was overchlorinated.
