“The website needs to be updated!”

I booked a smoking room suite on the website as the website stated there were smoking rooms available. Once I arrived at the hotel I was informed the hotel was totally no smoking. I asked the clerk when this policy changed as the website showed smoking rooms. She stated they have asked for this to be changed; however the corporation has not done this. This was very misleading & I was disappointed as I could of searched for a different hotel. After I got over my disappointment, I decided to stay for the three days. I found the hotel very clean, I was glad I had a room on the first floor as I brought my 2 dachshunds with me. I found the room very clean and well accommodating for my needs. I thought there would be a larger t.v. which appeared to be 19" and positioning of the t.v was better watched on the bed than the couch in the room. The room was very quiet and I did not hear any exterior sounds except a door closing on occasion. My privacy was respected as I kept the DO NOT DISTURB sign on the door my entire stay as I didn't want the cleaning lady to come in with my two dogs in the room while I was out. Despite having an electronic lock outside each exit (usually using the room key to enter) I found the doors remained open no matter what time of day I was entering the building. I did not inquire as to why the hotel didn't keep these exit doors locked. The daily breakfast during the morning was great the first morning. The daily sausage gravy & biscuits was delicious. The Belgium waffle one could make was good the first morning; however the second morning the batter which another party reported to the desk was empty. Once the employee brought in another bottle of the batter, it was lumpy, didn't dispense correctly from the machine and when an adequate amount of batter was given, the waffle iron didn't work. Big bummer as I was looking forward to another waffle that morning. I don't recall when I booked the room online the website had the fee for bringing my 2 dogs with me. I learned for each dog, each day was a little over $10, adding $60+ to my bill. I did not mind the extra fee as boarding them in a kennel would of cost me more. Overall, I decided this was a very nice hotel and I will return next year again!
