“My experience at HJIU”; Feb 19, 2013 Paige R, Middletown; The red heart shaped hut tub was AWESOME!!!, besides that one single thing, my husband and I were left VERY disappointed. The room was one of the surprises to my husband on valentines day. I was misinformed of what the room included, and what to expect. The only thing that was a highlight was the hot tub and the wi-fi. Did I mention we even had to clean the hot tub, and not just because im a clean freak, but because of all the residue on the tub(which I dont want to know what it was.) The bed was hard and uncomfortable. We were also told that there would be a food and drink bar and a sitting room and bedroom with a flat screen tv. There was no bar, only a vending machine in the office. There was a tv, it was like 15" and 20 years old. and the "sitting room" was a couch that was 3 ft away from the bed. it was all one small room. The bathroom was rusty everywhere, and there were tiles missing. The free breakfast included hard boiled eggs and cornflakes and oatmeal that was so stale it tasted like cardboard and chemicals. NONE of the ice machines in the entire building worked. I also found out that i was charged about 50$ more dollars then the normal price of that particular room. I was also informed when booking the room that we'd receive a free gift when we checked in, we never received a "gift"!I wouldn't wish for my worst enemy to stay there. I was very disappointed and will NEVER consider going back.

Thank you for taking the time to bring this to our attention. It is extremely uncommon for such things to happen in regard to our most coveted rooms being the Jacuzzi suites. Our staff generally pays very close attention to these rooms since they demand a higher rate. The Manager and I will definately address these issues.
