“GREAT Location for WALKING to shopping....but Non-smoking room reeked of smoke!”; Feb 15, 2013 Daniel S, Colorado Springs; We were flying from Turkey to Ecuador (we live in Ecuador) and had to spend a night in Miami--so we booked this hotel so we could go shopping for lots of fun stuff...and we weren't disappointed! We walked to the Walmart and then took the shuttle back to the hotel--then walked over to the mall before catching the shuttle to the airport. However, the non-smoking room we paid for REEKED of smoke and I'm allergic--we waited 30 min for them to come "freshen" the room but then canceled and went to bed--we hadn't slept for more than 24 hours and were exhausted. We did sleep well, though. Surprised that we didn't get a breakfast--thought it came with the room...but all in all it worked and the price was cheaper than most other airport hotels, so I guess we can't complain too much...

I am sorry to hear about your experience regarding room odor and do apologize if it caused you any inconvenience. I have shared your comments with our housekeeping team and they are making sure best practices are in place to remove cigarette smoke so these issues do not surface again. I regret that you did not get the breakfast that was included with your room package. However, I am glad that you were able to sleep well.
