“What you see online is NOT what you get!!!!!”

I booked the rooms online two weeks prior, one suite & one queen size room. I reserved the rooms with my credit card & called to confirm my reservation. When we arrived at the hotel, the suite reserved online wasn't available. They had only two suites in the entire hotel, one was reserved for the entire year & the other wouldn't be availabe until the following day. So we had to get two standard rooms & then both rooms would be upgraded to penthouse suites the following day. We were also told that we had to pay a room deposit of $25 each, which we would get back at check-out. This was not stated on the web-site. Through all of this I must say the agent was quite apologetic even though the problems were not her fault. We got to our rooms, the remote was not working for the television in one of the rooms & the lighting was horrible in the other. But we beared with it because we knew that we were moving the next day. We get to our penthouse suites which was only a room with two beds, micro & fridge & kingsize bed, micro and fridge in the other. The rooms were EXACTLY the same size as the previous rooms. We were also told that we would receive complimentary breakfast because we were inconvenienced and we were in the penthouse suites, however when we arrived for the breakfast, to our embarrassment, we were denied because we were told we had to purchase vouchers in order to receive the breakfast. At this point we were so fed up, we didn't even go back and question. We went out that morning & when we came back the keys would not work for either of the rooms. We had to go back to the front desk to program them EVERY NIGHT!! When we came in from shopping, we had mountains of bags & there was only one trolley available for the entire hotel so we had to wait until the bellman was finished with his runs before we could take our stuff to the room or lug them in by hand. At check-out, we were told that we would not get the room deposit back, because that was what we should have paid for the rooms. I had to pull up my confirmation (on my cell phone) to show the agent the actual amount of the rooms that I had reserved. Apparently, there was a glitch in system what showed one price online & another price on the hotel's log. The supervisor had to honor the online price & give back the deposit but the process was quite long. When I was leaving, there was another couple complaining that they didn't receive the room they booked online.
