We have stayed in several area hotels recently with our two children becasue we have been house-hunting in the area, and by far our best experience has been the Howard Johnsons. The room was a comfortable size for four people. Though you could tell the hotel was old, it was kept very clean, moreso than other area hotels that have been recently renovated and charge roughly twice the price. The front desk staff was friendly, polite, and helpful, and provided suggestions for a good, affordable places to eat in town. We would definitely stay there again because of the value we received for the price. The one negative thing I would say is that the breakfast didn't offer much variety. We traveled with a child who has a food-allergy to wheat, and luckily we had brought something for him, because there was nothing that he could eat, but we've grown accustomed to travelling with breakfast for him for just that reason.
