“What a pleasant surprise”

  , Park Forest, Illinois
We were cautious after reading some of the reviews, but for us, price was everything this time in Orlando. And with an AARP discount, the room was way under $50/night. But after a late flight, picking up a car, then checking in about 11pm, we were tired. Good thing I asked first, because we almost got a smoking room. The desk man gave us a suite - 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchenette -- all for less than $50! The only hiccup was the room key machine wouldn't give us a working key - so the desk man let us in. From the outside of the building, you could tell that this place was probably built in the 60's or 70's, and we thought "oh no". But Wyndham is the new owner and has already put their stamp on it. The rooms were all done over with fresh paint, carpet and furniture. All things considered - one of the nicest places we've stayed in. And right across the street from Wet 'n Wild. Next door to Buffalo Wild Wings. Never made it to the free breakfast, but the pool was sparkling. Would definitely come back.
