“Over all very disappointed in this hotel/owners. The room...”

Over all very disappointed in this hotel/owners. The room was a nonsmoking but had a very strong cigarette smoke smell. I told the guy at front desk about this issue just a few minutes after getting to the room. He came down and said "I don't smell the cigarette smoke smell. " The same guy was at the front desk as I checked out, and said nothing. About 15u minutes later, after I had left the hotel, a woman said me. She stated she changed my card for "smoking in a nonsmoking room."The I told her I didn't smoke and none of my guest did either. She didn't care to hear what I had to say, just seemed like she was calling me a "lier." After this experience I don't think I will choose to stay at a Howard Johnson again. A few of my business staff have had similar experiences like this one at this same hotel.
