“Looks can be Deceiving”

I stayed at this hotel to take the Florida Bar Exam. I arrived to find a nicely updated lobby and thought the hotel seemed promising. That was before I went up to my room. Apparently, they have renovated some of the rooms but not all of them. I happened to be placed in a room that had not been updated at all. There was still an old tube tv and some old run down looking furniture. I then noticed that the previous occupant's trash had not been taken out of the wastebasket. I called down to the front desk to have housekeeping come and remove it, no harm no foul. However, when I returned to the room later that evening, the trash was still there and housekeeping clearly had not come to take it when I had called earlier. Then I went to close the shades only to discover that the only shade on the left hand side was the see through one and that the other one was missing completely. I was still ok with having a see-through curtain because I was entirely too stressed with the exam looming to care. As I stepping away from the curtains my foot bumped something underneath the curtains. I kicked it to find that it was someone's dirty sock that had been left in the room. It was now getting late and I just wanted to get some sleep, As I pulled the covers back and was about to get into bed, a bug scurried across my bed. That was the last straw that sent me downstairs to the front desk. After I explained everything that had occurred so far and asked if I could switch rooms, Louis didn't even apologize to me and simply stated "Yeah I can switch you". I was then switched to a new room that had been updated with nicer furniture, a flat screen tv, a refrigerator and a microwave. However, cleanliness was still an issue as I found hairs in the bathroom, just like I had in my original room as well. I was staying at this hotel to take an extremely stressful exam and this hotel actually added to my stress level.
