“I've stayed at worse, but...”

This property was a huge let down. Stayed with 5 rooms and the front desk told me I could settle it to a check upon check out, which I was later told I couldn't. I wouldn't have mind that, if I just would have been told the correct answer from check-in. The rooms were decent, a little better than what I expected from the HoJo brand.Somebody was geting arrested in the room next to mine at 12:30am, which was disturbing but more a function of the neighborhood instead of the actually property.In the morning, I asked for meal vouchers to take advantage of the HoJo "Free Breakfast", and they would only give one meal voucher per room. When I asked for 10 (we had 5 rooms) they said "Nope, sorry!" and only gave one per room. I asked why they couldn't give us extra vouchers considering we were bringing in over $500 in revenue for that one night and they said it was because we didn't pay for breakfast for everyone in the room. The agents spoke in broken English anyways and I don't think they fully comprehended what I was saying. Ohh well.Yes, they have an airport shuttle but I wouldn't sell this as an "Airport Hotel", I would sell it as "Airport Area with Shuttle". We did book directly through HoJo.com and not an online travel agent, and didn't see the option for breakfast, after all I thought it was included in the brand.I hope corporate reads this comment and realizes that my trust for their Howard Johnson brand was tainted by this property. This property should be deaffiliated to avoid bringing the Howard Johnson brand name down.
