“A stay not to remember”

We upgraded to a king suite with whirlpool upon arrival. The front desk person was stressed and upset, the whirlpool was broken and she did not know how to fix it, the air conditioner in the bedroom was broken and the t.v. remote was missing. The manager adjusted our room rate, however we still paid more than we thought fair since we did not get any of the added conveniences of a king suite. We also had to argue to have the rate reduced. The manager actually asked us what she should do to make it up to us - she's the manager, shouldn't she know or have some guidelines to follow??? It did not give us a nice feeling of neither your hotel nor Iowa!
