“A one night stay.”

  , Malden
My wife and I stayed just one night (Sunday to Monday) and were not there long enough to use all the facilities offered here, but I can comment on the room. Overall we were reasonably happy with the facilities, with no serious complaints. Our second floor room was spacious, had a balcony with sliding door (more on this later) , two queen beds, a desk & chair, a round table with two chairs, a floor lamp, a flat screen TV, free WiFi connection, coffee maker (didn't use it), and an iron & ironing board. It had an extra sink and mirror outside the bathroom. The beds were firm and we slept fine on them. Some minor quibbles are these: The bathroom didn't have an exhaust fan to keep the mirror from fogging up when using the shower; One of the chairs seat cushions sagged too much when seated in it; and it's possible to lock yourself out on the balcony if you're not careful. My wife followed me out onto the balcony (it had a great view of the parking lot) shortly after we checked in, and pulled the door all the way shut, not wanting to let any bugs fly in. When I heard it click I knew we were locked out with no way to open it from the outside. Fortunately, I had a cell phone and the number of the front desk on me. So I called, and a young woman came up immediately and let us back into our room. Somewhat embarrassed, I said to her "I hope we're not the only ones who ever did that.", and she said we were not. I thanked her, and gave her a tip for the trouble. But I think they could make the door so it can only be intentionally locked from the inside. The rest of our brief stay was pleasantly uneventful.
