“find another place to stay”

We checked in around 6pm on Tuesday December 31st, only to be told our room wasn't cleaned yet and they weren't sure how long until it would be cleaned. The desk staff, of which there was only 1 of, would stop what he was doing and answer the phone and spend 15+ mins talking while there were 3-4 people waiting to check in. That, or he'd hide in the office while people were backed up. While waiting, there was a couple who walked in and stopped at the desk while commenting that they "hoped their room was finally ready 3 hours later". We did finally get into a room around 8:30, but it wasn't what we had booked. We ended up with a king bed and pull out couch with the promise of a cot and extra blankets and pillows (which never came), insteady of 2 queen beds. The pool was a mess and there were no clean towels available. I eventually went to the rooms that were waiting to be cleaned and pulled towels out of the bathrooms to be used by our kids. Part of the splash pool was shut down the next day because someone "pooped" in the pool. Our daughter also cut her foot on the bottom of the pool d/t rough surfaces. We did get a huge break on our room rate, but it was still too much. The room we had had an exterior door that leaked so much air, the curtain stood out 2 feet. And the exterior door in our friends room was frozen shut.
