“Berkshire Trip”

The inn is a great value for the price and in a great location; for that reason this was our second visit. The staff member that greeted us on our arrival was cheerful, friendly and efficient. The location is also very convenient for area attractions in Lenox, Stockbridge and Pittsfield. There are many stores and restaurants and two movie theaters nearby. We also very much enjoyed that the Inn's cable included Turner Classic Movies. The internet hookup was fine and worked well. Only two minor issues, one is that since the inn is so close to a busy road, there is a fair amount of road noise, mostly from trucks. Not much you can do about that one, but if you are looking for absolute quiet, you may want to consider something farther off the road. The other was the continental breakfast. It is nice to get you going with coffee and a muffin, but the variety and quality of the items available was mediocre at best. The best item was the waffle maker. However, although it made tasty waffles, it was a point of some controversy as the staff member who tended the breakfast was audibly agitated by guest's inability to read directions and operate the waffle-maker without spilling and wasting lots of batter. Somewhat understandable, but hovering and criticizing your waffle-making skills was also a bit of a turn-off.
