“very disappointed”

We were so looking forward to our stay. We were visiting as Alumni for the Michigan State University vs. North Carolina football game. I purchased these tickets and hotel for my boyfriend for his birthday and we were making a overnight stay out of the occasion. We specifically chose this hotel for the location, pool/jacuzzi, relaxation factor and amenities. Upon arrival the staff was responsive but gave horrible directions to our room, never indicating that the room was located outside. He really didn't seem to care. Not a ton of customer service involved in our first impression. We finally found our room after walking around for 10 minutes in and outside and the room was in pretty bad shape. Please see the list below for details. I think one of the most concerning items was the fact that the lock was broken. Not exactly a safe feeling and we really felt uncomfortable going to sleep. We went to go get a drink to take medication and we could not get the pop machine to work. When I asked the front desk employee he responded, "there is nothing I can do about that." "You will need to contact the pop company." The next morning, my boyfriend and I headed to the pool. The evening before we checked to see if we needed to bring towels downstairs to the pool. The sign indicated, "please do not remove towels from pool area." To us, that indicated that there were towels available at the pool. When we went down there, no towels were available. Next we went to use the jacuzzi and it was broken with a piece of a note that looked like it had been ripped off. We talked to another guest and they said that they were here in June and it was broken then and they were assured it was fixed. It wasn't. For the room rate of $165, these circumstances are really unacceptable. We look forward to your follow up regarding this situation. Thank you for your time.Jennifer Stocker and Mark Kallaway
