“Musty, noisy rooms”

My wife and I stayed in one room and our daughter and granddaughter in another for 6 nights. The smell of some kind of chemicals (possibly the over-shampooing of carpet with a bit of an unclean odor?) was so strong that we had to switch rooms. My daughter couldn't sleep due to an alarm going off in the adjacent unoccupied room one night, people in the room above moving furniture for 40 minutes another and several nights of noise from the business behind the hotel with back-up sounds from their forklift all night long. The staff accomodated us with what they could but with the most apathy I have encountered in a long time. The woman who checked us in switched between computers 3 times because she couldn't seem to get either to do what she wanted them to do and it took 30 minutes with a very tired baby waiting in the car at 1am.
