“CUSTOMER SERVICE SUPERB”

So often we hear what is "not" so pleasant about a stay at a hotel however I'd like to share what was extremely memorable for our family during a weekend stay at the Howard Johnson's while participating in a baskeball tournament. One would expect that hotel staff are well trained in the areas of hospitality, pleasantness, etc, however the experience we as a family had with all the staff at Howard Johnson's was "above and beyond!" I honestly was astounded in the manner in which the staff, in all roles, tended to our families needs. One would expect to have their needs tended to, however the Howard Johnson's staff offered far more than just what they could do for our family, they asked "how much better could they do it!" To the front desk staff who were more than accomodating, to the incredible kitchen staff and remarkable home made menu, to the staff we called upon when we needed extra towels, and blankets, you have much to be proud of. You either take great pride in your role, or you have been blessed with extensive training in "how to make your guests feel like no other". Hats off to you all for truly making such a huge difference, it is because of your customer service that we will remember!In lieu of some constructive feedback:Realizing there is much costs involved in renovatations, it is apparent some efforts are being made throughout the hotel. However for our family specifically, I believe hotels should allocate the moneys to ensuring the bathrooms are the first to receive the face lifts. Broken tiles, that although clean, have built up residue and our toilet that required us to hold the handle down to ensure flushing and adjusting to stop it from running were two main items that we would see as needing immediate improvement. However .... once again I want to stress, the staff that we had the pleasure of dealing with made everything else seem minimal to our weekend stay! Again Howard Johnson's it is apparent your staff are the backbone of your business, and as an experienced guest, I trust they must make you proud!
