“well, well, well...”

My friend and I stayed there for 4 nights during our reading week... and on our way there- I was expecting it to be the worst hotel based on the reviews I read. ITS NOT THAT BAD.Starters: check in was super easy and fast... maybe 'cause I ran in front of everyone and got in there first... but it still took 2 mins. The room was so close and takes couple mins to get there.. walking into the room, everything looked good. Water was clear... bathroom was clean, beds were comfy but pillows were rocks. There was no smell in my room and the sheets were clear. HOWEVER, our room was beside the staff room so if we were in the room around 10-11am we could here their convos... which I didn't really mind. Next, getting to the city. Okay, this was tricky only because we wanted to save as much money as possible:if you are someone who is in the same boat... heres the cheapest (so i think) to get there.Okay, 1. take shuttle bus to the airport (free) 2. take air train to terminalC (free) 3. get down to where the buses are and take the 62 bus to newark penn station ($1.5) 4. take the train to nyc ($5). There you go, it takes about an hour to get there... double time but half the money. You can also take the bus from the hotel ($15) or a taxi (approx $70) <- YIKESThere is no free breakfast here! (address of the hotel is 20 frontage drive) . I was under the impression there was, regardless I didn't care.. restaurant in there was cute and affordable- Felix Cruz was a gem, and was a great waiter. 2nd night there... I walked into the bathroom around 3am ... there were bugs on the counter. I was a little shocked.. but I killed them off and never to be seen again. Erm... I was uncomfortable with it... but I didn't care that much. Television was good... we only turned it on once for about an hourThis is a hotel to sleep, not to lounge around all day. We needed something affordable + close to the city. This would be a nightmare if you're looking for luxury- these are just the basics: beds, tv, bathroom, mirror and table. only reason I wouldn't come back is because of the complicated route we had to take to get to the city
