“Incompetent & Confused Hotel”

1]The booking was made 3 week before arrival. 2] The Hotel tried to charge my card before I arrived.Should they NOT charge you until you arrive,and give you your choice of payment method- I wanted to pay cash,and they gave me trouble about it. 3]When I arrived at New York JFK Airport, I called for them to pick me and without my permission and having my phone # the hotel cancelled my reservation,and they refused to come and pick me up because the reservation was cancelled. Then they could not find the reservation,they just canceled and I had to give them the booking # again.Nothing in the reservation stated that your card will be pre charged.The booking only said reservation is not able to be cancelled. 4] The new front desk clerk was very confused,and had to call the manager 4 times to try and check me in.It took her 45 min, to finally check me in.Was she given any training at all,and does she know anything about customer service and her new job,and how to use a computer ? 5]I was on the road & air already for 5 days and 16 hours,very tired and just wanted to get to a bed,because I needed to get up at 4 am for my next International flight. 7] It was my first time I used Howard Johnson Inn,and being to close to The big and Famous JFK Airport and the Big Apple-Customer service was a disgrace and very unacceptable.I have been to third World countries with similar hotels and 100 % better service-Wont stay again !!
