“Missed the mark”

- The facility was up to par and very acceptable. The front desk staff seemed disconnected from the facility and quite adversarial. One day I returned to my room after 8 PM to find the room untouched. I called the front desk and they sent someone to my room and replaced towels, but the bed was left unmade and no floor or bathroom cleaning were done. at 10 PM I received a call from the desk saying I needed to come by the desk in the AM to discuss my bill. I did and found that they were asking for more money, although the contract stated that I could pay when I checked out. This was not honored, nor was the rate that I was quoted when the reservation was made. This is yet to be settled so I can't predict how HOJO will resolve. I never left thinking that I had actually communicated and never felt the clerk heard my concerns.
