“Terrible”

Room was not very clean. No ice, vending machine did not work. Staff was not very friendly or helpful. There was a party going on in room next to ours and we had to go downstairs to the desk to complain as there was no information on the phone to let you know how to contact the front desk or make an outside call. When we went down to complain about the noise at 1:30 AM, the response from the desk clerk was "Why didn't you let us know sooner". No apology. He called the room where the noise was coming from and told them the people in the room next door complained and could they please keep the noise down. We are older women, traveling alone and it was not a very good feeling to know that the people in the next room had been notified that we had complained. About 30 minutes after we returned to the room, the desk clerk called our room and woke us to ask if the noise was any better. Upon checking out, there was no apology for the terrible night's sleep. I will find another place to stay next time I am in Vernon.
