“I booked this hotel to have a birthday party for my twelve...”

I booked this hotel to have a birthday party for my twelve year old daughter. I called several times requesting an early check in. The associate informed me that check out was at noon and couldn't guarantee anything. On the day of the party I called again. And again nothing. I went to the hotel at 1:45pm to see about checking in again. She said there was nothing ready. I was willing to pay extra for the early check in. I don't know why after so many requests by me, they couldn't have one room cleaned first and ready for us. Also in the middle of my conversation with the front desk clerk the phone rang and the clerk answered it and made me sit there and wait for 10 minutes while she booked another reservation. I asked her if they were reserving a large table for us for the party. She said there would be no problem finding a table as there weren't many guests there that day. There were at least 6 groups over ten having birthday parties that afternoon. It was very disorganized. I was told there would be cups, utinsels, and plates available for the party so we didn't bring any. Again, I had to ask twice for the dinnerware. As far as the room was concerned, it was a little run down. The trim was missing around the air conditioner so the rough edges of the drywall were showing. Also, the bathroom could use an update as the tub caulking was molding in spots and the grid for the ceiling tile was rusting quite a bit. The beds were super, and I did sleep very well. I honestly don't usually complain this much about anything. But it was important to me to make my daughter's birthday fun and instead of treating us like a guest, we were treated as if we were putting them out. Very poor customer service.
