“Great location, but careful which room you get placed in”

  , Walnut Creek
My last stay in July 2012 was perfect. The room was spacious and the bathroom as well. This next stay, which was in a King room (instead of 2 queens) was not that great. 1) The bathroom was very cramped and the sink basin placed so close to the door that sharing the bathroom proved impossible.2) The location of the room was in a location closer to the street and quite loud. It was closest to the parking entrance and so it was actually furthest from the main street for walking distance.3) The tackiest thing about it was the fact that the A/C made a loud roaring sound so if you like pretending you are in a wind tunnel or about ready for takeoff, knock yourself out with this simulation. Even being a proponent of white noise aided sleeping tools, this was extreme.4) Minor complaint but the balcony was really weird. You had to pull the door out pretty hard (it would get jammed) and then there was a greenhouse like walkway where there was glass behind you and a sliding glass door in front of you. Quite weird.HOWEVER, I will say that the housekeeping staff took great care of us during our stay, the front desk was attentive in answering the phones, and the hotel location is wonderful if you are looking to cross the street for pre-Disneyland breakfast (Mimi's Cafe) and then walk over to Disneyland or CA Adventures.ALSO, the previous stay was pretty much perfect. So, even if you are a couple looking to get a KING bed, I would recommend asking for double queens instead since the bathroom is so much easier to share and the room tends to be spacious.
