“Not quite the room I was looking for :(”

  , Fredericksburg
In the pictures on the internet, the hotel looked nice from the outside and the room appeared to be bright, cheery, and updated. In reality, the bathroom was clean and looked like it had perhaps been updated, but the room itself was dark and dreary. The carpet was old, the hallway was smelly and the room was not at all what I expected. The only staff we came in contact with was the check in clerk. He was polite but no one seemed overly friendly. The breakfast area was small and took up one corner of the lobby. The sheets were clean but the bedspread looked very old. There were no blankets between the sheets and bedspread. The rates were affordable. Not the worst hotel I have ever seen but again, not exactly what I was hoping for.
