“Howard Johnson Stay Terrible”

  , Brampton
Dear Howard Johnson Head Office,My family and I went on a family vacation to Niagara Falls, Canada and our stay at your chain of hotels was terrible. I am sending you photos of the room we stayed in (Room 108) as proof that the conditions were unacceptable: torn blankets, ripped wallpaper, mold and black mildew in the bathroom, rusty toilet paper holder, wood nailed under the bathroom sink, cracked tiles in the bathroom, mattresses too soft and worn which must be replaced, exposed control breaker panels, front door and bathroom door dented, rusty and in need of painting, water damage in the corner of the ceiling. Breakfast was included but posted on the wall in the breakfast room was a sign that said any food wasted will be charged to our room - in one word "cheap" is the impression this owner/operator, Domon, gave us on how he runs his hotel. At about 3 am on Friday night, my husband and I woke up because there were men yelling and swearing loudly outside and this went on till about 3:30 am and no one in the office addressed this problem. I went to the office Saturday morning and they claimed Todd was on staff and didn't hear anything - these men were yelling so loud it woke up other guests who were yelling at them to be quiet. Also, can you explain why the Howard Johnson allows religious statues to be displayed at the check-in desk. A statue of a Hindu god was on the desk clearly visible - is the Howard Johnson promoting Hinduism? My husband's head office is in Boston and his hotel rooms are clean. My husband and I are totally dissatisfied with our stay at your Howard Johnson facility and we will not recommend that location to anyone because it is in serious need of repair with no threatening signs posted regarding food or religious statues promoting Hinduism. This facility gets an "F" and a zero star rating.
