“Frustrating”

I made reservations two days in advance through Travelocity. Apparently, they hadn't faxed the reservation paperwork to the Hotel, so when I arrived to check in, there was no proof of payment. Of course, it's reasonable to expect that I should help resolve that. The lobby was empty. I arrived around 8pm or so. The gal at the counter told me I had to call Travelocity to have them fax the paperwork. She didn't offer to call, herself, nor did she offer the use of the hotel phone, and she seemed weird and suspicious when I told her I didn't have my phone on me. So, needless to say Travelocity was a PITA, I had to explain the whole story to not one, but two people. I was told the info would be faxed over in 5 or 10 minutes. The HoJo receptionist didn't, at that point take my information and trust that payment would be forthcoming. I waited, and waited. Keep in mind that it's late, and there were no other customers there. None. 20 minutes later, no fax, and I'm nearing the end of my rope, and the receptionist agrees to call Travelocity, immediately gets the payment information from them, and we are able to proceed to the next step of our HoJo adventure...that process took a whole hour.We had our dog with us, so we got a pet-ok room...obviously the bottom of the barrel. The room wasn't unclean, but pretty shabby. One pillow was 2 inches thick, the other was 16 inches thick. The bedspread (or was it just a blanket, hard to tell) had tears and stains. We appreciated being adjacent to a dog lawn, but it was overgrown with blackberries, and frankly, pretty spooky, not well lit.
