“Worst hotel ever”

I will never use this service again, as a matter of fact I wish to cancel my AARP membership and request that you send me a refund for the 5 years I just signed up for. I contacted AARP travel service 2 months in advance of my travel, paid for my reservation and was not only severely overcharged but the reservation got totally messed up with Expedia and the hotel. We had a wonderful week long trip ruined on the last day when we were suppose to have two adjoining rooms with 2 queen beds set up at the Howard Johnson's at Portland airport. We arrived early at 12 pm just to check to make sure we had adjoining rooms as requested Nope. No adjoining rooms and in fact when we returned a few hours later to check in we had one room with 2 full beds and another with 2 queen beds but the air conditioner did not work It was 95 degrees in the room When I contacted the front desk I was informed that nothing could be done as Expedia had instructed them that no room changes were allowed that those specific rooms were what had been reserved,( when my email conformation said two queens rooms) I then called AARP travel service and explained my problem they contacted the hotel and still nothing could be changed. When asked for someone to look at the air conditioner they sent maint up 3 hrs later just to wave his hand over it and say it was working the best it could. The service at this hotel is horrible I will sleep in my car before I stay at another Howard Johnson's again and I will never use AARP or Expedia again as they can't make a simple hotel reservation correctly two full months in advance, and charge a full 30% or more over the internet price if I just booked the room myself. I thought that AARP was suppose to help and support seniors so this type of stuff didn't happen but apparently that is not the case so please cancel my membership and refund my 5 years paid dues.
