“Shabby rooms”

  , Springfield
I was shocked at the shabby appearance of the room. Shower curtain was nice but the drapes on the front window were different lengths and had trouble keeping them closed. The refrigerator never worked. Breakfast bar was nice but when things ran out we had to go and FIND someone to replace items. Girls acted like it was a bother but they did take care of it. Front desk men were courteous especially Eone. Sp? There appears to be a serious "dry rot spot" on the second floor balcony that, if it isn't taken care of, could create a lawsuit if someone falls through it. We understand there are new owners so hopefully HJ will return to its former high quality motel. Also not sure why there is just a temporary permit in th elevator. ?? Oh! And the housekeeping staff completely missed us the first day altho the head gal found something for my daughter...that went under the bed.
