“i'm not picky about small problems, but this hotel was...”

  , Pittsburgh
i'm not picky about small problems, but this hotel was poorly kept and almost embarrassing in it's disarray. At 6 p.m, when I arrived, there was a table in the breakfast room that was covered with old food scraps. The lobby furniture contained piles of brochures that were mixed together in a messy heap. The walls had numerous paint flaws. The couple running the hotel were friendly but oblivious to the dissaray. The women behind the desk was caring for her child while the lobby was a mess. When I went to check out, she was out in the parking lot taking care of a young child and talking to a friend while I waited for her to come back in. The breakfast was the worst I've seen in any motel. Two pots labeled regular coffee, no decaf, one type of dry cereal, some small greasy muffins, some bread, the orange juice machine poured out water with a slight orange flavor, and little else. All the public rooms were dingy, dark, and poorly maintained. It seemed like there was no one there who knew how to run a hotel.
