I reserved a queen bed smoking rm, upon arrival floor was dirty- specs of paper, dust, stains, etc., the AC was not working - only blowing hot air!, room was very hot, refrig also not working, and sink outside bathroom was clogged/not draining.I am an electrician/maintenance man and quickly checked these issues over myself- there was no simple fix! I had to go see the clerk who was not available and left a "be back in 10min" sign on the door, I returned later and still nobody there. This was at around 9:30pm. I returned to the lobby for a third time and was called to by the clerk (who did not ID herself) , who was sitting in her car ?, in the lot. I nicely explained the 3 main issues and that I needed another room. She was snippy/rude with me and told me I wasn't in the room long enough for it to be cool and that the refirg was probably unplugged. I explained that neither was the case. Even if these issues were resolvable - they should have been checked over before I ever checked in to the room ! Who wants to pay for a room thats hot and you have to wait for a cool rm & refrig for hours. She explained there would be no smoking rooms available- which I said was fine, and then she said that I would be charged extra. I said I'll just leave and go somewhere else. She said I 'd be charged anyway- at which point I mentioned that I would dispute that charge with my credit card company. Then she gave me another room. I could not get the pass key card to work on this room and had to go back again for another room to stay in. The clerk accused me of not using the card right and I asked her to come try it herself - which she would not do. This was all very tiring and stressfull. Upon trying to get into the 3rd room the card would not work again and I eventually got in by going around the building, opposite of where I parked to get in. I had to then return cards to the clerk and she explained that I could not get in on that side. I was not told this previously !, and if it is indeed the case then there should be signs on the doors explianing this. The following morning at around 8:30 am we went for breakfast and had to ask for food because it was all gone. « less
