“Unprofessional/rude/uncooperative front desk receptionist named BRAD wanted to extort additional $40 at check-out.”

We were two families, each having 2 adults (husband and wife) and 2 children, stayed for two nights in HoJo Cornwall, Prince Edward Island (PEI), Canada. We were traveling from New Jersey on a family vacation to PEI via Halifax, NS and Saint John, NB. Each family were staying in a double-queen bed room. We booked the room online using HoJo website. At the time of check-out, front desk receptionist (his name was BRAD) wanted to us to pay additional $10 per night per room as he told us that the room rates per room we got ($119 + Tax) was only for one adult. Children didn't have additional cost as he told us. At first, it seemed to me that this is some kind of Joke. We respectfully disagreed and told that we booked/reserved each room for both night for 2 adults and 2 children. Some point I felt that he is taking advantage of our soft spokenness and mild manner. We told him, when we checked-in as 2 adults (husband and wife) + 2 children, we weren't informed about this new room rate/policy either. But he (BRAD) kept insisting with unforgivably rude tone to us to pay additional $40 ($10 per night per room). At the end, we had to involve manager of the HoJo location to resolve the issue and got out without paying additional $40. They (BRAD and even his manager) both were unapologetic. We got out from there feeling unwelcome and disappointed with HoJo experience.
