“Howard Johnsons stay”

We checked in to the Howard Johnsons in Beaufort, SC 5/24/13. When we got to the room my husband opened the refrigerator to find a roach. He called the front desk who's response was, "what do you want me to do", "can you remove it?" I went to the front desk and was greeted with the same response in addition to, "do you want a refund, I can give you a full refund." I suggested what about asking if you could move us to another room? I took pictures of the creature and showed it to him. I asked if the room had been cleaned, if so housekeeping should have seen this. His response was, "I just work here." I told him that since he "just works here" maybe someone else would be interested in seeing the photos, e.g. the Health Department. Nonetheless, he moved us to another room. The next morning it seemed as if everyone was going to the front desk to request face clothes and towels. Housekeeping only put 1 face cloth and bath towel in each room. Horrible!
