“False Advertising & Stuck in the '70s!”

I can't believe Howard Johnson allows this hotel to use its name...it's that bad. Desperately in need of renovation, from the popcorn ceilings, to the outdated decor, old single pane drafty windows, and light fixtures that are identical to the ones I had in my house as a kid (back in 1960). Jacuzzi and sauna are not working. No hair dryers in rooms. Direct TV was intermittent, and the entertainment center was on the verge of collapse. Mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. There is only one wall mounted AC unit, which also doubles as the heater for the whole family suite. It was snowing and we were freezing. The only plus: the front desk manager works very hard to keep the guests happy and is friendly and polite. The location is also close to NAU, which made it convenient. I really feel like I paid too much for this room....in fact, Howard Johnson should have paid me to stay there.
