“Orangeburg, SC Howard Johnson Review”

The hotel was moderate as far as cleanliness. It seems the housekeepers do not clean as well as they should. Also, when renting rooms the rooms sometimes smell of cigarettes/marijuana and this is absolutely uncalled for. Also, the main house keeper at Orangeburg, SC's Howard Johnson is very rude and steps out of her place. I have complained to the manager, Andy, already and nothing has been done. This lady has a nasty attitude and tends to talk to customers any kind of way. Just the other day when I stayed at this particular Howard Johnson, when going to use the restroom in my room the toilet had old blood on it. This was disgusting. Also, the room had an infestation of ants. When asking for late check out, the manager simply says no "because the house keepers will complain." If customers are paying money and would like a late check out it should not matter about the house keepers complaining. The house keepers are there to work. Howard Johnson is about making money and satisfying the guest. This is not fair. Also the pool is very small and right outside the guest lobby so anyone can watch you. The furniture in the rooms is not up to date. The ottoman has the leather peeling off them and are ripped. The beds sink in the middle.
