“Awful experience.”

Check-in took over 50 minutes. I am not kidding. The lady at the counter was very confused. The first room key card did not work. She put it back in the machine for coding, and gave it back. It failed to work again. Third time, she gave me a new key card. It also did not work. Each time I came back, I would have to wait in line again as she struggled to slowly get others checked in. On the fourth time, I was let in with a master key that she wore around her neck. She also had to work to get the light to come on. It wouldn't come on the first couple of times she flipped the switch. I asked how I would get back in the room at 1:30 a.m. when I came back in. She said she was going to try and get maintenance to work on it. Meanwhile, the room smelled awful. Smoky and humid. Coupled with the long wait time and possibility of going through this again at 1:30 a.m. when I got back, I just left and found another place for me and my 2 kids to stay the night. The worst part really was that the lady at the desk kept acting like I was doing something wrong with the keycard. I turned that card every way it could turn or flip. It simply wouldn't work. I wasted nearly an hour of my life at this hotel.
