“Conflicted feelings”

I booked this hotel because it was inexpensive, recently renovated, and close to the highway. I booked it a month in advance and had a confirmation. When I arrived the front desk clerk told me the system was down and asked what room I needed and gave me a key so I wouldn't wait. I went up to my room unpacked EVERYTHING and headed back downstairs. When I walk up to the front desk I am informed that they had booked me for two queens instead of the King I had reserved. She continued to state that I needed to move my things because the hotel was booked for the night. I told her and showed the confirmation email I had already had for a month and she stated it was something I needed to speak to with the place I reserved. I explained that the email had that locations number and that I booked it at hojo.com not a third party. Nothing was resolved so I proceeded to pack up my things and move while this was sorted out. I called Howard Johnson customer service, explained my situation and was told they would call. I go into the second room they gave me and none of the beds were made and the trash hadn't been taken out. I go back downstairs and they give me a THIRD room with two queens. I am 8 months pregnant and tired and frustrated so I decide to leave my things there while I wait on a King size bed to become available. While I am gone the manager calls me, wonderful man that tried to help and accommodate us. He said he would give us the King and personally move our things over to the new and final room. The room was wonderful, clean and modern. After the first night, we came back to our hotel and noticed that no one had cleaned the room. I decided to just place a do not disturb sign until we left because I didn't need the hassle. LAST night I'm there, I arrive at 11:45pm and come to find out that my room key didn't work. -_- I go back downstairs and discover that the card was activated for two nights instead of three. UGH. The hotel was wonderful, clean and courteous but the lack of organization brought the rating I gave it WAY down.
