“"Free" Room”; Nov 03, 2012 Cheryl C, Montgomery; I used my Wyndham points for a "free" room here. I was charged $10 per person for the stay on a room that the rate is around $50. I paid the fee but couldn't help noticing that the other rooms had 4-8 people staying in them. (I am betting that many did not tell the truth on how many were staying in their room. I think this is against the fire code.) This was especially obvious at the "free" breakfast. I saw 5 grown ups leave the room next to me. There was not enough room to stand in the lobby and all of the free breakfast was gone by 9 a.m. not even any coffee left. I guess I paid for all the others to get their free breakfast! I go to San Marcos once a month to visit my son that is at a home for the mentally retarded. I do not plan on staying here again. On a good note, the bed in my room was really comfortable.
