“Each of these alone is no big deal, but there were lots of...”

Each of these alone is no big deal, but there were lots of issues. Reservation was made in early February for a queen room. We checked in at 3:10 pm, and were given a room with 2 doubles; they said it was because we booked thru a 3rd party (we booked through Wyndham Rewards). They did not verify my credit card upon arrival, nor did they ask for it when I checked out. This is a concern for me, as I've had one fraudulent charge on my credit card from a hotel we had previously stayed in. The front desk should always verify the card being charged actually belongs to the guest. When we got to our room, the TV was on full blast, and the alarm clock was continually going off. There were brownish stains on the paper cover of the toilet tissue roll. The coffee maker was covered in dust & the carafe and water reservoir were filthy. The toilet barely flushed (had to flush multiple times on a number of occasions). There were no drinking cups provided. On the second day, we received a used/half full shampoo. The frig froze our cheese (which was in the bottom) and our milk. Housekeeping knocked on door on Saturday at 10:21 am, which disturbed our sleep in; only on check out day would this be acceptable. This room was not at all up to the standards we've experienced with Wyndham rewards. I had always thought that Howard Johnsons was a more classy place. When I provided these comments to Wynham Rewards, the hotel contacted me via email, with only excuses and without addressing any of the issues.
