“Charming location... could not sleep...”

We stayed at the Howard Johnson in Pasadena, as my husband had to undergo medical testing at USC the following morning and we live 4 hours away... The location is charming! We walked a block down the street and enjoyed a delicious Thai dinner. The staff was very friendly, professional, and accommodating. The breakfast was disappointing... the fruit was overly ripe and the apples were even starting to shrivel. The worst part, however, were the pillows and the bed... the mattress was too hard, and the pillows were like bricks that would not bend. With a few modifications, we would definitely stay again... but for our next appointment at USC, we will find another hotel.
